FedEx Logistics

Challenge

CBRE was tasked to develop an acquisition process to assist FedEx Logistics in procuring facilities for their customers, both nationally and internationally and ensure that all existing leases were being properly monitored, as well as audited for erroneous charges.

Solution

After various strategy discussions, CBRE developed standard documents for space searches, business case preparations, as well as various accounting notices to internal personnel.

We also created a database to expand information of existing leases, as well as audited all leases that received payment notices from their Landlords.

Benefits

Through the lease audit program, Fed Ex Logistics saved over $1.2 million, in one year, of erroneous pass-through charges that were promptly credited back to Fed Ex.  CBRE was also able to execute over 9mm s.f. of transactions in 32 cities through the programmatic delivery system created for FedEx Logistics.
