Port of Jacksonville

Jacksonville is the #1 Florida- based port when measured by cargo value only.  JaxPort is also the 13th largest container port in the country with in excess of 16 million tons of cargo going thru the port annually. With four major terminals, the port sits on over 1500 acres and over 1700 ships sail into and out of the port on an annual basis.  One of the core products going in and out of the port is automobiles and vehicle parts.  Major exports are general cargo, grocery products, autos and poultry. Its more major imports are coal, gasoline and petroleum.

The JaxPort Advantage
Jacksonville's biggest advantage is its outstanding railroad and highway connections which can move cargo in any direction. Jacksonville is located at the intersection of three interstate highways (I-10, I-75 and I-95), and three major railroads, including Jacksonville-based CSX Transportation (CSXT), Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) and Norfolk Southern. Through these intermodal connections, the Port's cargo can be moved quickly to and from major U.S. markets via truck or train. Jacksonville also has four airports to complement its three public cargo marine terminals and passenger cruise facility.
