MELFORD, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA

Melford International Terminal is developing a 315-acre deep-water container terminal, intermodal rail facility and 1500-acre logistics park at Melford on the Strait of Canso, Nova Scotia. The greenfield project is 100 percent privately-funded and will be the closest North American deep-water mainland port to Europe, Asia and the Indian Subcontinent (via the Suez Canal) and will feature an advanced, highly automated terminal design featuring on-dock rail and the use of leading technology to facilitate vessel-to-rail transfer.
